In the past two years David returned to his hometown of Toronto and was the production manager and producer on 12 movies for television. The dozen years prior to that David produced fifteen feature films & three shorts in Los Angeles which garnered distribution on platforms from AMC Theatres to Hulu to Netflix. His latest comedy ‘Eat Wheaties!’, starring Emmy Award winner Tony Hale, Elisha Cuthbert & Paul Walter Hauser won Best Comedy at the San Diego and Heartland Film Festivals. The year prior his composer biopic ‘The Maestro’ was shortlisted for a Producer’s Guild Award. His gang drama "Badsville" starring Emilio Rivera and female buddy comedy "Moments of Clarity" starring Lyndsy Fonseca round out the four films of his Phillm Productions company.

Other producing highlights include the family drama "Mighty Oak" that Paramount Pictures released at drive-ins across the USA during COVID-19; being an Executive Producer with Jack Black on the Sundance Dark comedy "Entertainment" which starred John C. Reilly, Michael Cera, & Tye Sheridan; and producing the Jason Biggs & Ashley Tisdale comedy "Amateur Night". A graduate of Ryerson, David began his producing career in 2010 with three films - "L!fe Happens" starring Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson and Krysten Ritter, a Christmas movie "A Holiday Heist" starring Lacey Chabert, Vivica A. Fox and Chris Kattan, and the comedy "Boy Toy" starring Morgan Fairchild.

David is also a member of the Producers Guild of America and splits his time between LA and Toronto.
