Following 15 years in the architecture profession, she taught I.B. Fine Art, then engaged in the film industry, then back to architecture and Fine Art. Now following a 15 year hiatus from film, Laura is enthusiastically jumping back in. Her reintroduction began in earnest in 2020 as Production Designer of "Dawn, Her Dad, and the Tractor".

Laura’s professional careers took her throughout Canada, Bermuda, Switzerland, USA, and Finland.
Laura was an inaugural member of the Nova Scotia Arts and Culture Partnership, awarded a number of RFP artwork installations in Halifax Regional Municipality, and recently chaired the Awards Committee of the Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia.
Laura currently owns a boutique vintage shop, KingsPIER vintage, which is the entrepreneurial culmination of decades of passion for heritage, craftsmanship, fashion, and sustainability.
