Registered Permittee Program (Entry-Level)

Potential Registered Permittees, please download our Registered Permittee Checklist.

Here you will find the course requirements and next steps in obtaining permittee status with the Alberta District Council. Please ensure you review and understand the requirements on the permittee checklist prior to calling the office. The requirements listed are specific to persons looking to become a Permittee within the DGC in Alberta. Please note: Each jurisdiction / Province has their own specific requirements.

NOTICE:  AT THIS TIME WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT CALL THE ADC OFFICE TO INQUIRE WHEN THE REQUIRED COURSES WILL BE AVAILABLE.
If a required course is currently sold out with no additional dates posted we will add the next course as soon as it is confirmed. Due to the increase in demand we are working with our instructors to increase our course offerings. Please continue to check the training requirements page for updates, there are no waitlists.

Compile and Submit all documents from the Registered Permittee checklist to dgc@dgcalberta.ca

Once verified, permittee's will be registered in the ADC Permittee Program and be sent our weekly “Registered Permittee Avails Form”. Permittees will receive a weekly form to update the Guild on their availability status, ensuring that our listings are up to date. Permittees can also refer to our CURRENT PRODUCTION LIST and view the production details and contact information for each show and listings of Members in each department.

However, it is up to the individual to be in touch with productions and determine if they are accepting resumes and to let them know that you are interested and available.

  • Be registered in the DGC ADC Permittee Program, and have completed the courses listed above.
  • Have completed at least 90 days as a Registered Permittee on at least 3 ADC signatory productions.

GOOD LUCK!
