Productions That Owe Retroactive Pay

  • In our recently concluded round of bargaining, we negotiated a pay increase of 3% retroactive to July 11, 2021. Productions that signed safe harbour agreements owe that 3% retro to April 4, 2021.
  • We are in active discussions with all productions that owe retro (including those that have wrapped) and the payroll companies to determine how payment will be processed, and what the timeline will be.
  • We appreciate your patience as we work to get all the details sorted out.
  • Some discounted rate sheets – like those subject to Side Letter 4 and TV series with a one year lag – will have slightly different increases and differentials.
  • PA Helper rates are not subject to retroactive payment because they have increased with provincial minimum wage throughout bargaining, with the most recent 3% increase on June 1, 2022.
  • DGC BC crew that were paid more than 3% over scale will also not be eligible for retroactive pay.
  • Rate Sheet R productions (TV Movies under $1.2 Million) are not subject to retroactive pay, given all rates are negotiable.

Below is a list of productions that our records show may owe retroactive pay, in alphabetical order. Each production title is linked to a pdf that shows the rates that were paid April 4 – July 10, 2021, and the new rates that came into effect on July 11, 2021, as well as the additional 3% increase that comes into effect July 10, 2022.

Check out our blog post to find out how to know if you are owed retro pay.
