Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Focus: Williams Lake
As we hear of more heartbreaking news coming out of Williams Lake this week, with the discovery of 93 more possible burial sites at St Joseph’s Residential School, it’s important for us to recognize that the hard work of education and reconciliation is crucial not just when it’s in the headlines, but every day.

The St Joseph’s Residential School closed in 1981. This is not ancient history, and the impact of Canada’s treatment of Indigenous people reverberates today. We join in mourning these lost children and invite those who can to donate to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society today.
