In the early days of the pandemic, we heard from Asian DGC BC Members that they had been subject to comments from co-workers about being responsible for causing this devastating illness.

With this week’s horrible events in Atlanta, and the VPD’s stats that anti-Asian hate crime reports increased over 700% in 2020, the DGC BC wants to make it clear that we stand with the Asian and Pacific Islander people in our membership, and in our greater communities.

Hate based on race, ancestry, or place of origin is never acceptable in any form.

We encourage all our Members to check out this tool created by the Vancouver Asian Film Festival elimin8hate.org and to stand in solidarity against anti-Asian hate wherever and whenever we encounter it.
