The DGC would like to congratulate filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin, the recipient of this year’s Technicolor Clyde Gilmour Award, selected by the Toronto Film Critics Association (TFCA).

Obomsawin is known for her important films about First Nations issues, including We Can’t Make the Same Mistake Twice, Kanehsatake: 270 Years of Resistance and many more.

The Clyde Gilmour Award honours a member of the Canadian film and television community who has made a very significant contribution to the history and advancement of Canadian cinema.
