Women in View unveiled the participants in their new initiative, Five in Focus, at Primetime in Ottawa this week.

Five in Focus is an initiative that highlights the diversity of female directors working in Canada. The five finalists will be given networking opportunities, festival passes and $2500 in services from William F. White projects.

Sherren Lee, Jem Garrard and Wendy Morgan are the three DGC directors partaking in the initiative, the other two participants are directors Weyni Mengesha and Gloria Kim.

The DGC has been working alongside Women In View since last year helping to promote and implement their 2X More initiative, which aims to double the number of women directing scripted television.
