The DGC Master Class Series 2016 is presented by the DGC in partnership with VIFF Industry. 

The Guild held the inaugural session of the series in Vancouver on May 28,  featuring guest Director Adam Arkin. 

Hosted by DGC Director Simon Barry in front of a capacity crowd, Adam took us to the hostile landscapes of “Minnesota” and shared prep to post highlights of two very opposing scenes from Fargo Season 2.

 Adam has mastered the segue between acting and directing and is now one of the most prolific directors of critically acclaimed, cutting-edge episodic TV dramas including Fargo, Masters of Sex,  Justified, Backstrom, Sons of Anarchy, The Americans and Secrets and Lies to name but a few.

Simon Barry is a Vancouver based Writer/Director/Show-Runner and the Creator of the multi-award winning series Continuum which ran for 4 season on SyFy, Showcase and Netflix. Simon is currently Executive Producer , Writer and Director on the new Neil LaBute series VanHelsing for SyFy network. Over the last 20 years  Mr. Barry has written feature film and television projects for Warner Bros., Dreamworks, Universal, Columbia, Working Title, CBS, FIX, USA Netwok, FX, TNT and many independent companies.
