Directors Guild of Canada makes a big play with an ambitious new website ahead of Banff World Media Festival. Following a successful launch with DGC BC, Directors.ca is now officially expanded to all Director Members from all District Councils across Canada.

Directors.ca is an interactive search tool which assists producers, showrunners and other key decision makers in finding the perfect DGC Director for their next project by curating a tailored list of directors that meet their criteria.

This versatile tool allows the user to “search, refine and find the perfect director.” Search queries produce a personalized list of DGC Directors by entering specifics such as language, genre and credits. This list can then be narrowed down further by additional filters like studios worked with and residency. Each director’s profile includes an array of information from a biography to contact info and social accounts to credits and reels. 

“Directors.ca is a powerful tool” said DGC NDD Chair Zach Lipovsky. “It is beneficial to both key decision makers looking for that perfect director and to DGC Directors who will be put on their radars.”

Beginning on June 14^th, Directors.ca will be featured prominently in DGC promotion at the Banff World Media Festival, which DGC National is proud to sponsor.
