Actor Kim Coates will receive the 2017 ACTRA National Award of Excellence which recognizes an ACTRA member's career achievements. Coates will be presented with the award at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on January 28, 2017.

Coates is best known for his lead role on Sons of Anarchy, where he plays Alexander 'Tig' Trager. Other credits include The Last Boy Scout, Waterworld, Resident Evil:Afterlife and Academy Award winning films Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor, to name a few.
