An open letter to Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly found in the Playback summer issue has heavy hitters from of the audio visual industry giving Minister Joly their wish list during the government’s review of Canadian content policy.

The Directors Guild of Canada’s National Executive Director Brian Baker asked Min. Joly to be mindful of Canadian content:

“We are worried about a fundamental shift by the CRTC that came out of the Talk TV hearings—moving us away from the core principle that Canadian stories be told by Canadians."
