The Directors Guild of Canada is pleased to announced that Samuel Bischoff has joined the Guild as Public Affairs Manager. Based in Montreal, with a focus  on the Francophone market, he will work with the national team in the development and writing of policies, the monitoring of regulatory affairs as well as the design and management of promotional activities and related communications.

After studying the history of cinema and audiovisual law in France, Samuel has worked alternately with film, television and digital media production and distribution companies in Quebec. Samuel has also worked at the Canada Media Fund as a Business Intelligence Analyst and in Winnipeg with On Screen Manitoba, working on industry development, serving members. He is particularly interested in issues of monetization and distribution of online content, the evolution of public policies and the status of the artist.
