Childrens' media company Sinking Ship Entertainment and not-for-profit organization Women In View have announced three successful candidates for the second phase of the 2X More Initiative. The Directors Guild of Canada is a proud partner of the 2X More initiative, which aims to double the number of women directing scripted media from the current 17% to 35% within two years. 

Three female directors will each be mentored before directing their own episodes of Sinking Ship's show Dino Dana. The three candidates selected are Nimisha Mukerji, Heather Hawthorne-Doyle and Sherren Lee. Among the candidates and selection committee are two DGC Members, Nimisha Mukerji and director Norma Bailey.

The Directors Guild of Canada congratulates the candidates and wishes them all the best in this creative process.
