Braden Labonte

Braden Labonté has a background in fine arts, design and construction. He holds Master’s degree in Art and Art History from York University and he has exhibited works and participated in residencies across Canada, the USA and the UK. Parallel to his work as an artist Braden has many years of experience in the construction field, both in the design and construction of theater sets as well as residential buildings.
In 2018 Braden began working in the commercial film industry and applying his skills as an artist, designer and trades person. Since beginning his career in film, Braden has had the opportunity to work on campaigns for hundreds of brands within the industry and expand his skills as an art director and designer.
Before entering the field Braden had been working with Illustrator and Photoshop for graphics production for over 15 years and SketchUp for installation and design planning for over 10 years. More recently he has become proficient at AutoCad and Cinema 4D for drafting and rendering purposes. Braden has a comprehensive knowledge of materiality from years working in the construction and design business. With his background as an artist and art historian he also has a comprehensive understanding of historical references within art and architecture.
For on set work Braden holds an active lift ticket and propane ticket.
Beyond experience and training Braden is a nice person to be around. He’s calm under pressure, friendly and inclusive, with a strong work ethic and a creative perspective.
