It is with great sadness that DGC Ontario announces the passing of Executive Board Member Richard J. Anobile, a dedicated and passionate Post Production Supervisor who was highly respected by all who knew him.

Richard joined the Guild in 2014, bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise in Post Production. He quickly became an active member of the community and was elected to the Executive Board in 2022, serving as the Post Production Caucus Representative.

As the representative for his Caucus, Richard was committed to ensuring that the voices of his fellow Members were heard and represented. Even in his final days, Richard remained engaged and dedicated to his role on the Executive Board, participating in the 2023 Executive Board retreat virtually and showing his unwavering commitment to the Guild.

Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. We are grateful for his service to the Guild and will continue to remember him as a dedicated and passionate advocate for the film and television community.

 A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring. 

Donations may be made to The AFC in Richard’s memory, per his family’s wishes.
