The imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival has announced its 2016 opening and closing night films. The 17th year of the festival will run from October 19-23 in Toronto.

Opening the festival is Alethea Arnaquq-Baril's documentary Angry Inuk, a film focusing on anti-seal hunting campaigns and the importance of seal-hunting to the Inuit. The closing night film is Bonfire, the first film from director Dmitry Davidov, a Yakut filmmaker from Russia.
