On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, DGC Ontario stands with residential school survivors and Indigenous communities across the country experiencing intergenerational trauma. Taking responsibility for our collective actions is an essential step to advancing truth and reconciliation. It is critically important for all Canadians to learn about and reflect on our country’s historical violence and acknowledge the oppression still experienced today by Indigenous communities in this country.

DGC Ontario strongly encourages everyone to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, whether through personal reflection, education and awareness, supporting organizations working to uplift Indigenous Peoples, or participating in Indigenous-led events within your communities.
