DGC Ontario partner Regent Park Film Festival has won this year's TD Arts Diversity Award. The award recognizes arts organizations and collectives that make a significant contribution in Toronto by working collaboratively with culturally diverse communities and creating access to arts and culture. Regent Park Film Festival received the award at a ceremony on Friday. They were one of five finalists. imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, another DGC Ontario partner, was also nominated.

Regent Park Film Festival posted a reflection on their award about how the organization values diversity. They say about diversity: "It is reflected in our commitment to having difficult conversations, by identifying and challenging our own institutional and individual privilege and looking out for the blind spots that come with it." DGC Ontario would like to congratulate Regent Park Film festival on their accomplishment and supports them in their goals to increase diverse perspectives in the arts.
