AD Member Brian Backman passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his family home at Lake Deception, Nova Scotia on Thursday, March 24th.  Much loved by both cast and crew, Brian was best known for running the trailers and gained a reputation for being hardworking and loyal.

As a Member of the Directors Guild of Canada, Brian worked in Nova Scotia, Vancouver and Toronto.  His family will be holding a celebration of his life in Nova Scotia on Thursday, April  7^th and requests that in lieu of flowers, acts of kindness be shared in his memory or memorial donations be made in his honour to any charity or to Brian’s favourite charities, either Threads of Life – Steps for Life Walk (bringing hope and healing to families after a workplace fatality, injury or life-altering disease) or South West Nova Transit (providing low-cost, door-to-door wheelchair accessible transportation options to Shelburne County residents).
