DGC Ontario would like to congratulate Theresa Tova who is to succeed David Sparrow as the new President of ACTRA Toronto. She will hold the position for the next two-years. Tova has been an active member of ACTRA since 1992 as ACTRA Toronto’s first Child Advocate and spearheaded the passing of Ontario’s Protecting Child Performers Act. She sits on various committees that represent the concerns of performers and is the recipient of the Cliff Pilkey Labour Activist Award and the Canadian Association of Labour Media Awards. Additionally she is an accomplished actor herself.
