Montreal – The Quebec Council of Directors Guild (DGC) welcomes the new cultural policy of Quebec, announced yesterday by the government. Partout La Culture is based on the principle that culture be accessible to all, promote diversity, protect language and support creators on digital platforms.

"The Quebec District Council welcomes the revision of the Status of the Artist Act, but also the implementation of measures to improve the socio-economic conditions of creators and stands ready to collaborate with the government," said Bethan Mowat, President of the Quebec District Council.

The Quebec District Council looks forward to the arrival of the new action plan that will strengthen the audiovisual sector, such as SODEC's $50.2 million for creation and production aids, export, outreach and discoverability of works, as well as the improvement and expansion of the tax credit for film & television production.
