COMMISSION DES NORMES, DE L'ÉQUITÉ, DE LA SANTÉ ET DE LA SÉCURITÉ DU TRAVAIL (CNESST)

WHAT IS THE CNESST?

The Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail is the organization responsible for promoting rights and obligations in the workplace in Quebec. It ensures that these rights and obligations are respected by Quebec workers and employers.

COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the CNESST published a guide to support the audiovisual production sector in taking charge of occupational health and safety (OHS) in their workplace in this exceptional context. However, now that the measures have been lightened, please refer to the CNESST document Ajustements des mesures sanitaires en milieu de travail (In French only).

Fact Sheets

In collaboration with the Table de concertation paritaire de l'industrie du cinéma et de la vidéo du Québec, the CNESST has created fact sheets on the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases specifically for the film and video industry. These sheets cover specific topics related to the industry and clearly explain the rules to be applied to avoid risks.

For more information, please visit the page Travail dans l'industrie du cinéma et de la vidéo on the CNESST website (In French only).

Temperature Extremes

Working in the cold can be dangerous, so it is important to take certain measures to prevent accidents. What preventive measures should you put in place for yourself and your teams? How to treat cold injuries? Consult the complete CNESST document by clicking here (In French only).

Heat strokes are more dangerous and insidious than you might think. It is important to be well-prepared to avoid a major incident! Do you know how to prevent, recognize and treat a heat stroke? Click here to read the CNESST documentation on the subject (In French only).
